How it works

Aviationlex is neither a generic AI nor a simple search engine. At its core is a RAG architecture (Retrieval-Augmented Generation):

  1. Verified sources. Only official, up-to-date regulations from EASA, FAA, and national German rules (DE) are loaded. The AI does not fall back on general learned knowledge.
  2. Digital legal encyclopaedia. Every regulation is digitally indexed and broken down into its hierarchy.
  3. Answer with source. When you ask Ask Avlex something, the system first searches for the relevant legal passages and only then formulates the answer — with a reference to the source. If the information is not in the law, the AI explicitly says so rather than guessing.

In case of doubt, the official original text always prevails (e.g. Part-FCL, ICAO Annexes).
