Ask Avlex
Ask Avlex answers specific legal questions in natural language ("What is your question?"). You receive a fully worded answer with a clickable source reference into the Library.
- Query Limit: Every answered question counts as one query. You can see how many you have left at the bottom of the sidebar ("Avlex queries remaining").
- When your quota is exhausted: You will see the message "Your Query Limit is exhausted. Please upgrade your plan." You can then buy an Add-on Package in My Account (Exam Preparation Package +50 or Avlex PreCheck Package +25) or upgrade your plan. The Professional plan has a significantly higher quota; Enterprise is Unlimited.
- Reliability: "Avlex can make mistakes. The original text is always legally binding." If Avlex cannot find the answer in the legal texts, the AI says so explicitly.
How to ask
Type your question in the input box. Press Enter to send; use Shift + Enter to add a line break for longer questions. Questions and answers appear as a chat, with a typing indicator while Avlex works. You can ask in English or German.

Every answer cites the legal passage it is based on. Click the source reference to jump straight to that document in the Library.
